UMBRIA – TOSCANA (2) … PRESS-TRIP JULY 2010

The first part of this press-trip was focused on the DOC MONTEFALCO and DOCG SAGRANTINO DI MONTEFALCO (a.k.a. Montefalco Sagrantino). After a long bus trip from Rome, we reached at least our hotel for 3 nights, Palazzo Bontadosi, in the very heart of the beautiful city of Montefalco.

UMBRIA – TOSCANA (1) … PRESS-TRIP JULY 2010

I had the pleasure to visit some fantastic wineries in UMBRIA and TOSCANA (Tuscany) both in central Italy. The focus in the first part of the trip in july 2010 was MONTEFALCO and especially the DOCG wines from the sagrantino grape, vinified in two types, secco (dry) and passito (sweet, from partly dried grapes).
